WHO, WHAT, WEAR.

SNEAKING INTO SUMMER

It’s no secret that I have an aversion to summer shoes. Although I love a good espadrille; my true love is both closed shoes as well as peep toes. I usually live in heels, sliders and sneakers all year round. Three easy summer looks that still look summery but incorporate my favourite are sneakers, heels and sliders. These cuties are available at Dune London stores. I was excited back in 2013 that they launched in South Africa and they literally get new shoes daily! If you’re a girl who loves a great pair of shoes then give them a follow-on Instagram to stay up to date with what’s on their shelf.

A Guide

Wearing sneakers in summer is simple. If you’re comfortable showing your ankles go for a low-rise sneaker that can easily be paired with over the knee skirts and dresses. I specifically picked out these Dune London creepers for their versatile low-rise shape. If you’re more of a mini dress girl, go for a very sassy looking slider it gives off a chilled but edgy feel to your look.

I love jeans in summer too, I am slowly realising while writing this that it’s possible that I don’t really like any stereotypical summer clothing. If you’re rocking a summer denim I would opt for a simple yet sophisticated heel; rose gold colours are definite yes, this Summer.

Lastly when in doubt tights always save the day in high summer! I love a three quarter tight for running around the city and I usually pair these with something comfy and low rise; a suede loafer.

xoxo
